LEADERSHIP

Whether you're exploring faith, returning to church, raising a family, or looking for a community that takes Scripture seriously, we'd love to meet you.

You don't have to figure everything out before you walk through the door. Come as you are, bring your questions, and take the next step with us.

THE CHURCH BELONGS TO JESUS.

The Outpost Church belongs to Jesus Christ. He is the head of the church, the center of our faith, and the one we seek to follow.

We believe biblical leadership is a calling to shepherd, teach, protect, equip, and serve God's people. It is not an opportunity for personal recognition or control. Leaders are called to model the character of Christ, remain accountable to Scripture, and help the entire church grow toward spiritual maturity.

Our desire is to build a healthy church family that does not depend on one personality, but is grounded in God's Word, strengthened through meaningful relationships, and equipped to carry out the mission of Jesus together.

We want leaders who serve with humility, members who grow in maturity, and a church where every believer is encouraged to use their gifts for the good of others.

Our goal is not to make people dependent on leaders. It is to equip people to follow Jesus faithfully.

Pastor & Elders

SHEPHERDING THE FAMILY. GUARDING THE TRUTH.

The Outpost is being built around pastoral leadership and a plurality of biblically qualified male elders.

The pastor provides biblical teaching, spiritual direction, pastoral care, and leadership in pursuing the church's mission. The elders share responsibility for shepherding the congregation, protecting sound doctrine, providing spiritual oversight, and encouraging the spiritual health of the church.

We believe these responsibilities require more than a title. They require godly character, spiritual maturity, sound doctrine, humility, and a willingness to serve when no one is watching.

Our leadership model is intended to provide shared responsibility, mutual accountability, and faithful care for the people entrusted to us. We seek to make decisions prayerfully, in accordance with Scripture, and for the good of the church and the glory of Christ.

Eric Madden

Eric Madden

Lead Pastor | The Outpost Church

Pastor Eric Madden believes the church is more than a building, a Sunday service, or a collection of programs. The church is a family of people transformed by Jesus Christ, rooted in the truth of God's Word, and sent into the world to live out the gospel.

His heart for The Outpost Church is to help build a community where people can know Jesus deeply, grow in biblical truth, find authentic Christian fellowship, and become the men and women God has called them to be. He longs to see families strengthened, men equipped to lead with humility and integrity, women encouraged in their faith, and the next generation grounded in the truth of Scripture.

Eric believes discipleship is about more than attending church. It means following Jesus in everyday life, walking alongside one another through both victories and struggles, and helping others grow into mature followers of Christ. He desires to cultivate a church marked by genuine relationships, biblical accountability, prayer, service, and a shared commitment to the mission of Jesus.

At The Outpost, his vision is to see a church that takes God's Word seriously, depends on the work of the Holy Spirit, and loves people without compromising biblical conviction. He believes leadership is a responsibility of service, not a position of status, and that the local church is called to be a faithful presence in its community.

The mission is simple: Rooted in the Word. Built in Community. Sent on Mission.

Eric's desire is not simply to build a church people attend, but to help cultivate a church family that follows Jesus together, makes disciples, and leaves a legacy of faith for generations to come.

Ministry & Service

EVERY MEMBER HAS A PART TO PLAY.

We believe ministry is not reserved for a select few. God gives His people gifts, abilities, experiences, and opportunities to serve others and strengthen the church.

We want to equip men and women to grow in biblical understanding, discover how they can serve, and use their gifts faithfully. Whether through hospitality, prayer, discipleship, care for families, service to neighbors, or ministry to the next generation, every act of faithful service matters.

We believe healthy leadership equips the church rather than doing everything itself. Our desire is to develop a church family in which people are known, encouraged, challenged, and equipped to serve according to Scripture.

The church is not an audience watching a few people do ministry. The church is a family on mission together.
