THE WORD OF GOD
We believe the Bible is God's authoritative Word and our foundation for faith, doctrine, and life. We want to teach it faithfully and live it honestly.
esus didn't call His people simply to attend gatherings, maintain traditions, or fill seats. He called us to follow Him, become more like Him, love one another, and make disciples of all nations. That's why The Outpost exists. We want to see people encounter the living Christ, become rooted in the truth of God's Word, grow through meaningful relationships, and live out their faith with courage and conviction. We want to build a church where the gospel shapes everything: our worship, our relationships, our families, our leadership, our service, and our mission. We aren't trying to build a crowd. We're seeking to make disciples.
We believe the church was never meant to be a room full of strangers who happen to sing the same songs. The church is the family of God, brought together through Jesus Christ. Family means showing up. It means carrying one another's burdens, celebrating victories, speaking truth in love, forgiving one another, and helping each other grow. It means we don't disappear when life gets difficult. We don't reduce people to their past mistakes. We don't confuse being friendly with actually being committed to one another. We want to be a church where people are known, where truth is spoken with grace, where relationships move beyond the surface, and where every generation has a place to grow. Not cliques. Not spectators. Not isolated believers. One body. One family. One mission under Jesus Christ.
We believe the church must be grounded in something stronger than culture, personal preference, or the opinions of its leaders. Our foundation is the Word of God, and our hope is Jesus Christ.
Discipleship isn't reserved for pastors or people who have been Christians for decades. Every follower of Jesus is called to grow, and every believer has a role in helping others follow Him.
At The Outpost, we want to invest intentionally in men, women, marriages, families, and the next generation.
We want men to grow in biblical character, take responsibility for their spiritual lives, and lead through humble, sacrificial service. We want women to be equipped in the Word, strengthened in faith, and encouraged to use their God-given gifts. We want marriages and families to be strengthened by the gospel. We want children and teenagers to know what they believe, why they believe it, and how to follow Jesus when the world pulls them in another direction.
And we want discipleship to extend beyond church gatherings—into homes, workplaces, friendships, neighborhoods, and everyday decisions.
The goal isn't simply to raise churchgoers. It's to develop mature followers of Jesus who help others follow Him
The church belongs to Jesus Christ. No pastor, leader, or individual is its head. Christ is.
We believe church leadership is a calling to serve, teach, protect, equip, and care for God's people not a platform for personal recognition.
The Outpost is being built around pastoral leadership and a plurality of elders who share responsibility for shepherding the church, guarding sound doctrine, providing spiritual oversight, and helping the congregation mature in Christ.
We believe leaders must be held to biblical qualifications and standards of character. Leadership should be marked by humility, integrity, accountability, and a willingness to serve others.
Our desire is not to create a church dependent on one person, but a healthy church family equipped to grow in maturity and carry out the mission of Jesus together.
You don't have to have everything figured out to take a step toward Jesus or get to know a church community.
Whether you're exploring faith, returning to church, or looking for a place where you and your family can grow, we'd love for you to get to know The Outpost.
Come as you are. Bring your questions. Be ready to grow.
